High School vs. College
Is it a big change from high school to college? And is going to SPC better than an institute?
I had the same worries as you during my senior year in high school. I was always so nervous about the transition from high school to college. I graduated from high school in the spring of 2013 from Gibbs High School. I started SPC that summer.
The biggest difference between high school and college in my opinion would have to be all the free time you have in college. Time management is so important in college. In high school, you have a set schedule that you have to follow everyday, all day. In college, you make your schedule so you might not have classes on certain days. Also, there will be no one to remind you to do your homework or to go to class!
College is the time to start transitioning into adulthood and become independent. I would say that is somewhat of a big change, but most certainly not a bad one. I actually think it’s a good change.
The best advice that I could give you about college would be to manage your time well, procrastination is a big no-no, join clubs and activities on campus to build lifetime connections and, most importantly, have fun and enjoy yourself.
To answer your question about whether to go to SPC or an institute, it really all depends on you and what satisfies your needs. Of course, I’m going to be a little biased and say SPC would be the better option due to all of the different degree and program options.
